Back for another year, it’s a turbo-charged event that’s fun for the whole family. And the best part? We’ll be raising smiles and funds for a local charity, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, supported by Supercar Driver.
Get ready to feast your eyes on the most incredible cars you’ve ever seen – we’re talking Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches that will make your jaw drop and your heart race. Don’t forget to explore the exciting emergency services vehicles also in attendance and meet our real-life heroes in their fire engines and army trucks.
But that’s not all the fun we’ve got in store for you! Check out our entertainment line-up…
Get ready to meet Granny Turismo, a bunch of zany grannies showing off their souped-up shopping trolleys, who are guaranteed to leave you in fits of laughter with their gr-antics.
Watch in awe as race car driver stilt walkers zoom around the event, showing off their skills and adding an extra dose of excitement to the atmosphere.
Let our face painters unleash their creativity, transforming you into your favourite sports character, a majestic creature or even a mighty superhero!
Get up close and personal with Disney Pixar’s Cars, Lightning McQueen, and the Batmobile, who will be zooming around the event, adding a touch of magic.
Kids of all ages (including grown-up ones) can also join in the action with lots of epic games. Who’s up for a Scalextric race? Can you Beat the Bleep on a giant wire game that will test your skills? Or perhaps a game of tabletop basketball to shoot some hoops! And here’s a challenge for you – can you guess how many balloons are stuffed into a car?
And finally, make sure you don’t forget to say hello to George the Mascot, the lovable and mischievous cocker spaniel who has been bringing joy to children and families at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice since 2011.
George isn’t just any ordinary pup, he’s named after Georgia Finlayson, a brave little girl who sadly passed away at Bluebell Wood’s Hospice, where he’s been living his best life ever since.
George is not only a loyal companion to hospice visitors, but he’s also a paw-some fundraiser, he’s even become a baking sensation with his very own gingerbread version, ‘Gingerbread George,’ available at Staniforths bakeries.
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice provides specialised care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions both in their North Anston Hospice and in family homes. With a wide range of support services tailored to each family, including short stays, music therapy, counselling, sibling support and much more, they make a significant difference in the lives of over 300 families in South Yorkshire and beyond.
As a charity they need to raise over £5m each year to be there for local children and families who often have nowhere else to turn, so the support of community-spirited people like you is incredibly important. They receive only around 15% of funding from government sources. Please join us in supporting this vital cause and making a positive impact in our community.
