Plan 2021 with our guide to the top 10 car shows and events in the UK.
Please note: I pray the organisers for all events that had to be postponed/cancelled are well and will be back with their shows in 2022. With the lockdown still in place at present, 2021 may be a difficult one for the events industry. Hopefully things improve by June and there are plenty of car shows for you to attend. So, with that in mind, this year the top 10 events will be from June onwards (events & dates to be confirmed).
9th – 10th January (Trade), 11th – 12th January (Public) 2020
One of the biggest pre-season events, Autosport International will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. The 11th and 12th of January will feature an incredible exhibition of live action, the industry’s biggest stars and displays from every level of motoring. The event also includes two days of trade only on the 10th & 11th of January. This features the very latest in automotive and performance engineering technology, providing members of the industry with the opportunity to network and do business.
Also taking place alongside Autosport International, is the Performance Car Show. This will have a stronger emphasis this year on Tuning, making it a perfect event for enthusiasts who take their car modification seriously. The show will also continue to feature its established array of stunning & exotic performance cars as well as car clubs, supercars and displays from top manufacturers.
The Bicester Sunday Scramble
January to October 2020
If you like Cars, Coffee & more Cars then this is the event for you. Held at an old RAF base, you’ll get the chance to see some true classics and also show off your own classics. In other words, truly a great day out for all classic car enthusiasts. Sunday Scrambles are in January, April, June and October.
Bicester Heritage Sunday Scrambles
21st – 23rd February 2020
Historic motorsport fans need only to wait until February for the annual Race Retro event. Held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, highlights include an auction of historic cars, interviews with legendary racing drivers and, of course, a live rally stage.

10th May 2020
The Premier Mini Event in the UK. British Mini Day at Himley Hall is regarded as an established opener to the summer show season. Open to all types of Mini’s and variants from 1959 to present day.
British Mini Day will be the best place to find a massive range of Mini products: parts & accessories, graphics, clothing, collectable models, cleaning products and specialised insurance for your pride and joy. British Mini Days attracts Mini clubs from around the country, displaying members Minis and getting involved in the theme of the show.

Donington Historic Festival
Castle Donington, Derby
1st – 3rd May 2020
The Donington Historic Festival is held at Donington Circuit, the perfect venue for a series of hard-fought races you can imagine. It features a series of races comprising of classic racing cars driven by drivers who appear to have forgotten just how valuable some of the machines are.
Whether you’re a long-time enthusiast or have never seen a historic racing car in action before, you’ll find plenty to entertain you at the Donington Historic Festival. Celebrating the 10th festival in 2020, the event is firmly established as a major fixture on the international historic racing calendar. It attracts thousands of spectators, hundreds of world-class historic racing cars and huge numbers of classic car club displays.
SHELSLEY WALSH HILL CLIMB, WORCESTERSHIRE
30th August 2020
The one day festival will once again showcase the best modern day & classic supercars ever built. Enjoy unrestricted access to the Supercar Paddock, where you can get up close and personal with some of the world’s most exotic machines ever made.
Watch the supercars blasting up the famous hill, and get your ear plugs ready for some very exclusive supercar and motorsport demonstration runs.
Aside from the cars, you and the family can enjoy 2 nights of camping on site. You can also listen to some live music from a selection of bands, grab something to eat from the food truck village, enjoy a drink at one of the onsite bars and visit one of our many trade stands.

Goodwood Motor Circuit
19th – 20th June 2021
Disrupting the manicured lawns and tranquility of Goodwood Motor Circuit. This show’s variety is possibly unparalleled in ‘the scene’. A blend of modified modern classics, hot rods, circuit monsters, drift cars and everything in-between. Every scene and automotive sub-culture are not just represented but integrated into a melting pot of curated metal.
Enjoy a stroll between the perfectly painted white buildings and simple wood-framed pit garages in the paddock. Stand beside the track and hear the diverse mix of exhaust notes, as drivers get to grips with the challenge of the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit. It’s established itself as a staple of the European show calendar and one not to be missed.
There will be a Track Day on both Friday and Saturday for 2020. Saturday will see day one of Show and Shine, with the chilled vibe continuing throughout the weekend. Sunday will then see the Show and Shine also take to the track in a Breakfast Club style layout, allowing an even bigger show.
As with previous years, all cars will need to be pre selected and approved including track cars. Show Cars and Passengers will need to be pre paid as per previous years.
